
Excitement buzzes in the air of a large arena in Fort Worth, TX as the loudspeakers boom with the announcer's voice. The Texas Gay Rodeo Association is putting on its 29th gay rodeo and more than people are ready to watch or compete. The events you'd watch at a gay rodeo aren't all that different from something you'd see at a traditional rodeo.
The Texas Gay Rodeo Association was founded in the summer of Chapters sprouted up across Texas over the years, and currently there are five chapters located in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. This rodeo event has become one of the most popular on the rodeo circuit.

The "Imperial Court" system, which is active in many cities across America, asked their "Empress and Emperor" to raise money for charity. It was felt that raising money for the "Muscular Dystrophy Association" would make a statement for both our existence and our concern for our neighbors.
Ariel Min Ariel Min. Unlike other rodeos, all men and women are eligible to compete in any event they want, from barrel racing and bull riding, to wild drag races. He, like many other contestants, grew up on a farm but felt excluded from the rodeo scene in the earlier part of his adulthood.


They are the largest group coordinating rodeo events specifically welcoming lesbiangaybisexualtransgender LGBT as well as heterosexual participants and spectators. IGRA is composed of many regional gay rodeo associations, and sanctions a season of rodeo events which culminates in an annual World Gay Rodeo Finals. IGRA events are intended to allow all competitors, regardless of sexual and gender identityto compete in rodeo sports without discrimination.
It's an event with an emphasis on inclusion, and breaking old stereotypes. Davis is an experienced horseman, who's owned horses in Texas for about 35 years. He is one of about entrants in the rodeo, being held in Denton this weekend.
