Air embolism has been described in pregnant women and is a classic cause of death during attempted abortion by syringing. Death was caused by the introduction of an amount of air sufficient to cause a substantial air lock in the heart, pulmonary trunk or arteries. If the surface of the placenta has been stripped by the syringe, venous spaces are opened and air can pass into the circulation.
Uterine artery embolization is a minimally invasive treatment for uterine fibroids, noncancerous growths in the uterus. In uterine artery embolization — also called uterine fibroid embolization — a doctor uses a slender, flexible tube catheter to inject small particles embolic agents into the uterine arteries, which supply blood to your fibroids and uterus. The goal is to block the fibroid blood vessels, starving the fibroids and causing them to shrink and die.
This reaction can damage the lungs and heart and cause excessive bleeding. Amniotic fluid embolism is very rare. It usually occurs during late pregnancy but may occur when an abortion is done during the 1st or 2nd trimester.

Death by cunnilingus: it sounds like an urban legend, right? Or at least the plot point of a bad movie. I mean, as far as safe sex practices are concerned, oral is generally pretty great.
You just queefed, nbd. While you've probs experienced this kind of "vagina fart" before and btw, probs will againyou might not know what a queef actually is. Since this definitely wasn't covered in your sex ed class, it's time to set the record straight.
Amniotic fluid embolism AFE is a recognised, yet rare cause of maternal collapse. It is often a fatal complication of pregnancy and the puerperium, and is a direct cause of maternal death. The cause of this phenomenon is still under debate however possible roles have been attributed to strong uterine contractions, excessive amniotic fluid and disruption of vessels supplying the uterus.
Amniotic fluid embolism is a clinical syndrome of hypoxia, hypotension, and coagulopathy that results from entry of fetal antigens into the maternal circulation. It usually occurs during late pregnancy but may occur during termination of a 1st- or 2nd-trimester pregnancy. Survival depends on early recognition and immediate institution of treatment. These air bubbles can travel to your brain, heart, or lungs and cause a heart attackstrokeor respiratory failure. Air embolisms are rather rare. An air embolism can occur when your veins or arteries are exposed and pressure allows air to travel into them.
Vaginal flatulence is an emission or expulsion of air from the vagina. It may occur during or after sexual intercourse or during other sexual acts, stretching or exercise. The sound is somewhat comparable to flatulence from the anus but does not involve waste gases and thus often does not have a specific odor associated. Slang terms for vaginal flatulence include vartqueef and fanny fart mostly British.
